Welcome to African Union of Northern Nevada.

The African Union of Northern Nevada (AUNN) is a non-political, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization of “friends of Africa”, that seeks to discover, preserve, and disseminate the rich historic-socio-cultural heritage of Africa, the advancement of the continent of Africa, and the personal, intellectual, and professional development of its members.

The organization was formed on May 16, 2001.

The union’s objectives are to: 
-promote social, and cultural exchange between the organization and the community;
-promote matters of common interest;
-foster closer relations with other organizations;
-ensure justice and equity amongst members.
